Admissions

District Montessori accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. We maintain an active wait list, which we use to fill open classroom slots in both the toddler and primary classrooms. We welcome prospective families to observe our classrooms by appointment.

For inquiries regarding our wait list, enrollment, classroom observations, or to request an application, please contact our Nonprofit Director, Anji Keating, at anji@districtmontessori.org.

Upon receipt of an application (and a nonrefundable application fee), a child is added to our wait list, and will remain on the wait list until (s)he is offered a spot in one of our classrooms (there is no need to reapply in a subsequent year). We will progress in order down our wait list when filling open classroom slots, although we will offer preference to 1) existing students wishing to return for the following year, and 2) siblings of prior students. We will also make every attempt to balance our classroom by age and gender.

Tuition is adjusted for the number of program days your child is expected to attend during the year. If a family joins our classroom mid-year, the payment amount will be prorated accordingly. Upon enrollment, a registration fee and a one-month (10%) non-refundable initial payment are due that will hold your child’s spot in the program. The initial payment will be credited toward attendance in the month of June.

District Montessori values diversity and admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school-administered programs.
